Shanbao Machinery, founded in 1989, is a large-scale professional feed machinery fittings manufacturer, that integrates production, sales, and service. The headquarter is located at the new zone of Meishan Industrial Park, Sichuan, China. Covering an area of 40000sq.m with 3 plants for forging and casting, drilling and fine turning. The hammer mill beaters are used to crush and grind materials that are fed into the hammer mill. The beaters are mounted on bars and rotate together with the shafts at high speed. The beater strikes the material, breaking it down into smaller particles when the shaft rotates. The beater is the most important part of the hammer mill and the easiest wearing-out part. The beater's shape, size, arrangement, and production quality have a big impact on the grinding efficiency and finished product quality. The high-speed-running beater's machining accuracy has a great effect on the balance of the rotor of the hammer mill.
Low manganese alloy steel is chosen as the hammer’s substrate, through a special process, it can reach a high hardness of 55 to 60 HRC. This process can effectively prevent the material from abrasion. Arms surfacing wear-resistant tungsten carbide is also utilized, achieving angular hardness of HRC 62-70. This material is highly efficient and has a long lifetime. Besides, higher efficiency and capacity could be obtained by customizing the stacking welding form and thickness design of tungsten carbide according to different material crushing conditions. Moreover, the accuracy of weighing is also considered carefully, the weight difference is being controlled below 5 grams. Small vibration of the equipment could protect the host equipment well.

The hammer mill’s performance is greatly influenced by the shape, specification, material, density, arrangement and manufacturing process. Too big beaters will damage the hammer mill and too small beaters can not crush and grind the materials effectively.
